Our travels have halted for now because we just welcomed our baby girl. We're excited to bring her along on our travels but for now, our daily trips out of the house feel like we are globetrotting.
Below are no bullshit reviews of what we use on a daily basis (and lessons learned)
Stroller
Uppababy Vista V2 We use this every time we go out - it is light enough to lug around and fold up in the trunk with minimal effort, even when you are carrying your baby in one arm. We like that the car seat can just pop right onto the stroller seamlessly. Pro tip: we've used the carseat to stroller function a lot more than the bassinet it came with and our baby girl grew out of the bassinet very quickly.
Carrier
Ergobaby Structured Carrier We like a structured carrier better than the wrap, the slings, the rings, etc (yes they are cute on instagram but not very practical). Wraps took me a long time to get the hang of... especially with a fussy baby, I found it was not worth it. The ErgoBaby carrier quickly snaps into place - I literally buckle the carrier on, plop my baby in, and buckle the shoulder straps and I'm out the door. The structure of the carrier makes it feel safe and distributes her weight evenly for me without making me feel like she is pulling me down.
